AFTERNOON ACTIVITIES
MULTNOMAH FALLS
Date: Afternoon of Wednesday September 10th
Price: $40 USD/person
Timing: 2:30pm - 6:00pm (approximate, depending on traffic and weather conditions)
As the tallest waterfall in Oregon, standing at 620 feet (189 meters), this iconic waterfall is not to be missed. Formed by the Missoula floods and fed by the underground springs, the falls are a significant natural and historical site in the region.
Shuttle will pick up attendees from OHSU at 2:30pm where you will drive 35 minutes approximately to Multnomah Falls. You will then be free to explore the falls and surrounding area until 5:30pm when the shuttle will arrive to bring attendees back to the Portland Marriott Downtown Waterfront hotel.
Options include walking up to the bridge (approximately 30 minutes round trip) or you can walk to the top of the falls (approximately 1.5 hours round trip) which is a 2.4 mile out and back trail to the overlook atop the upper falls. Considered a moderate hike with 800 feet of elevation gain.
Please ensure you have adequate footwear, sun protection and water with you as this will NOT be provided.
